Anyone know of any good complexes to check out in these areas? We are looking for a 2 bedroom under $1300 that allows pets. We have a small pomeranian and are hoping to get a lab puppy so that our dog can transition into the new home WITH the new dog. I've heard of a few properties and know a lot of properties list their rates higher than what they end up having lease specials for so if anyone lives down in these complexes in particular and can give me an idea of what you actually pay compared to what they advertise normally, that'd be great!

I have 1bd condo on Bayshore Blvd, but i rent from the owner. When i was looking for a place to stay, i did not find a lot of apartment complexes that were in my price range (up to 800 for 1 bd). I would suggest you to look for condo's as well, since this area has a lot of them and there are quite a few owners renting. The way i searched was via google maps, as they show locations of units for rent with the price and give links to the website that has contact information.

apartments
Then on the right side they give you ability to narrow results based on size, price, amount of bedrooms, and if they are for sale or for rent.
Be aware that it might return results that are already recently rented, at the same time, they do not publish ones that just opened up, as it takes time for google to index the changes. However it will allow you to see where the places are, and if there is an apartment complex in certain location. I found this type of search more rewarding that browsing thru apartment listing sites and trying to guess where the certain street is located.
