My husband's whole office is being temporarily relocated from the County Center to Falkenburg Road. It's a hassle but will actually be a more convenient commute for him. The County is giving everyone a nice stipend for the inconvenience so that helps make it more palatable. Just a big headache all around.

Geez, why don't they just post which roads are OPEN? It would be a lot shorter.....lol

What a waste of money. Do you think Tampa will break even on this deal, or what?

This is a VERY good thing for Tampa, and I am a big-time liberal. ANYTHING that injects money into the local economy and gives Tampa more exposure is a VERY GOOD THING. Many cities would give anything to get an event like this in their city.

Stop your moaning and groaning. You can always take the week off and go out of town. Which is what I am doing.

As usual, Tampa Bay residents love to complain about everything. The metro area is going to be invaded by tens of thousands of visitors spending HUGE bucks, and all you hear is griping.

You'll see the same whiners in the TBT op ed pages every time we host a Super Bowl, too.
