Well if you want to get technical, technically I have skied in shorts and a tee shirt before. There's something to be said for a sunny day in Vail, Colorado when the thermometer reads 20 degrees but it still feels warm thanks to the dry air.

"Look at dewpoint and "real feel."

Which is basically the hot equivalent of the wind chill factor.

I didnt realize people needed tips on how to deal with weather. If its hot outside, stay inside or put on less clothes and wear some shades.

Yeah, there must be something when some feel horrible and can't wait to get out of Tampa Bay, others seems to relish for it .

"If its hot outside, stay inside or put on less clothes and wear some shades"

Work much? Some of us have to cope with work situations that require travelling in the heat. I don't care how great your car AC and window tinting is, if the car breaks down, or you get stuck in traffic, it can be miserable. Not to mention, driving from place to place, in and out of the car to see customers or clients, etc. On the job, there's a limit to how much you can strip down. At least where I work. And in some workplaces, the company is trying to save money, so the thermostat is set on stupid and you have to bring your own personal fan.

There are a couple of tips on this thread I wasn't aware of, so it's helpful to me.

Now, if you've got the leisure time to lounge in the pool eating bon-bons, more power tooya. Meanwhile, allow us lesser mortals to benefit from knowledge or ideas we may not be aware of.

We have window units in each room in my apartment. So I put my AC at 68 or 69 in the hot months, but go as low as 66 during the winter. Then I sleep under a cozy blanket.
