Um, yeah, hurricanes are nothing to mess around with. There seem to be a lot of people in the Tampa Bay area that don't take them seriously. I know someone that lost everything in Katrina. I have another friend who's husband never thought they were a big deal until he was stuck on a bridge through one (last minute evac when it changed course), thinking the entire twelve hours he would die at any moment. No food or water, etc. My cousin was in Sarasota when they got hit once. They took their boat around afterwards in order to rescue people from their homes.

I for one do not want any hurricanes of any sort.

Did you even read the original post?

In case you did not, here is a refresher:

See here? I am hoping there are NO deaths and as little damage as possible. IOW, not wanting anything bad to happen.

After the severe weather we just saw REPEATED in OK yesterday where more people died including children your post is very inappropriate.

Maybe you should check with some of the folks in places like Homestead,FL and see what they think.

You think it would be fun to be without power in 90 plus degree heat and humidty for a week or so? And that's not the worst of it.

They do seem to be ignoring the content of your post and jumping to conclusions by the thread title alone

Try going back and actually reading the post, as you will then see your post is way off base.
