I have seen the Orlando population and it is awful; no manners, loud, obnoxious, rude, cut in line at Publix. I've seen some of that here too by CP mall; loud, obnoxious, rude, bumping into people not say "excuse me/sorry" etc.

And this doesn't happen in the Tampa area? PLEASE....LOL.

Both areas are heavily populated with many rude northern transplants, and I say this as someone who was born and raised in NY.

That's not to say everyone from up north is rude, and those who are native are all well mannered. But you can see where most of the rude behavior is coming from.

What's next, drivers in Orlando don't use their turn signals and cut you off in traffic?

Pot meet kettle.

Yeah, a lot of the negatives could very easily apply to Tampa also. And people making the "tourist" comments have obviously never been through Orlando. They either stopped in Kissimmee or stayed on I-Drive. Between the two, I'd pick Orlando. They seem to have a more promising future. However, I've lived in Tampa all my life. This is a biased answer.

That's EXACTLY what we experienced when we lived there for two months, before we came screaming back here. Not just because of the traffic, though. It always seemed like people were sizing me up to see if they could put one over one me.

It only took a couple of months of living in the Orlando area to realize that it gave me the creeps and I consider myself lucky to have made it out alive. As I said in another thread, it's the only place I've ever lived where I got panhandled on my own porch. And that was the least of it.

Tampa area....easily!!

You have all the major sports. The beaches are some of the best anywhere in the US. Some of the best sport fishing anywhere. Theme parks.....even a ride to see the mouse would be 1.5 hrs. The Tampa nightlife is pretty good, Including St Pete. If you look hard enough, the food is pretty good also.

Plenty for the Artsy Fartsy types.

Rude Northern Transplants?? YEP, Plenty of them. If it's an issue. Your just hanging in the wrong places.

Personally, leaving the state in 2 months for Breckenridge Co. Would i come back....YES, Its a great place to Visit.

The outlooks i am hearing, in regard to the Tampa area economy, are not very pleasant.

Default Why Tampa is a better place to live than Orlando?

Because it's farther from Orlando.
