Or does there seem to be less and less kids doing the trick or treating thing? I had people unloading on my kids because they said that hardly any kids came. I also noticed there wasn't as many walking around as there had been in the past. It's almost like the "holiday" is dwindling.

Is it just me or were other neighborhoods really hoppin' and I was just at a slow paced neighborhood?

Nobody knocked on my door, the church I attend had a full carnival going on, safer for the kids- and I think it's neighbrhoods, too many retirees in our area

Nobody knocked on our door either. It was the same last year.

We had zero trick-or-treaters at our old house. For eight years, we put the lights on and never got one. The reason was that we lived on a semi-rural main road with a 40-45 mph speed limit and no sidewalks.

I had no idea what to expect since this was our first Halloween here. It was a pleasant surprise that about fifty showed up here last night,

Yea, a carnival would've been fun for the kids. I didn't keep up with that so I have no clue if any were going on around me.
Crazy that you didn't have any T or T's last night.

Give that we don't like kids, having fewer showing up is always better.

LOL that's funny. I just hate the day, that's all but I candy tax them haha. Other than that, I would be happy not going.

No one comes in my neighborhood either. Frankly, it's just not safe most places anymore for kids to do this, better they go to private parties or school and church carnivals. Plus, I don't feel safe randomly opening the door anymore, either. I don't live in a gated community, it's an older neighborhood just off a main highway.
