Hi all,

I am considering taking a position with All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg. If I do, I will be relocating with my 2 kids - 15 and 12, and this will be the first time the 3 of us have been completely on our own without family to help. I don't want to live to far from the hospital, but I want to be sure to be in an area with good schools and that is very safe, as my kids will be alone for a little while before and after school. Also, I need to be sure there is busing for them to get home and would prefer that they not have to walk to far to get the bus. I read a lot of positive stuff about Palm Harbor so we rode down there yesterday to look around, but according to Mapquest the hospital would be a 45 minute drive. Suggestions for schools and the best places to look around to live would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Forget about living in Palm Harbor and working at ACH in St. Pete. That drive will be ridiculously long in good traffic conditions and horrendous during normal rush hour conditions.

Everybody wants to living an ultra safe area with good schools. But unfortunately, not everybody can. As with everything else in life, it depends on your income level.

Once you know your salary, then everyone here can help you find the best bang for your buck.
