Is this cold front that we will have next week normal this time of year? It looks like lower 60s till at least next week. Just would like to get an idea. Also when do we start to get 80 degree days here? Thanks.

I lived in Tampa in the Seventies and early Eighties and, yes, the occasional cold snap was normal. (I moved there from Fort Myers for college and had to buy warm socks for the first time.) We even had snow in 1977.

This is my 4th winter down here, and aside from the winter of 2011-12 where I had to wear a jacket maybe a total of 3 days, yes, this is normal for the time of year.

We'll have plenty of "80 degree" days later in the year. Drink this chilly weather in.

The historical average high right now is 70, so fluctuations either way like this would be normal.

This is below normal for the next few days. Most all of this winter has been above normal. This is nothing compared to many winters we had in the 80's with lows of 19 to 23 and highs of 38 to 47.

My comment - loving it.

Back where I moved from they had snow. And are consistently below freezing day and night.

Winter clothes? Bah! Long pants and a long sleeve shirt with a light jacket do not make winter clothes!!!!
