Man the good old days pre-Bledsoe
I have wondered when that would be and exactly what would happen. It will be interesting too see if they go back to the Grogan days and totally stink again, if I will even waste time watching them or just watch the highlights on the news....like I do with the Bucs. In the meantime, just watching them contend for yet another superbowl and hoping the Bucs can slowly get to the point where they can contend to make the playoffs. Even just making the first round would be a huge victory for their progress. Here's hoping.

Celtics no longer have the fan base it once did (I'm talking The Big 3 days). They still sell out though because the arena is in a great location.

You're free to hold whatever view you want, but I know a very large number of passionate NFL fans for various teams and NONE of them are going to change teams just because they move to a different city. You're in a very small minority though.

On an anecdotal front, I'd have a hard time going from cheering for one of the elite NFL franchises to one that hasn't ever really been relevant save for a brief period from the end of the 90s to the early 2000s.

That's telling - so if the Bucs were a better team, you'd cheer.

Everybody loves a winner.

Who said you had to change teams? You keep saying that. Nobody else is telling you that.

I'm curious, what is this large number that you speak of?

I bet you know WAY less than 1% of all NFL fans.

The bottom line is there are many reasons to be or not to be a fan of an NFL team. Everyone thinks their reason is right. However, the truth is that their reason is right for them.

It really doesn't matter what team you like or don't like, just as long as you are enjoying the game. If you aren't, then it's time to find something else because life is too short to waste.

Actually, one member said exactly that in this thread......which is why there is a discussion about this exact point.

I don't think so. Lots of people do not like the Pats and they are the most dominant team this century.

Mostly because they were caught cheating twice with spygate and deflategate. So they're definitely an exception to that rule.
