Or they could "pocket" less, and take care of those who make them rich!

Seems that you are not a fan of capitalism. I guess you like to see bakers and butchers paid the same as doctors. Our system works on a return of investment by individuals, not that everybody gets a share of the profits. You invest millions of dollars to operate a business and you hope for a profit. If you fail the employees you hired arent going to help you by working for free.

Why should the employees loose income? Dont the people who work for the agency in question also use the highways and byways like everyone else? Should we let the roads go to waste and not repair or maintain them? When the citizen has the option of going onto a toll road they receive a service in exchange for the toll.

Of course there is waste in government. However, our government provides services for everyone regardless of the amount they pay in fees and taxes.

You want PT? Are you willing to pay taxes to cover the billions of dollars that a PT system would cost to build and maintain?

You would be surprised how many business owners make less then the employees some weeks. In a lot of small business the owners are the last to get paid. But in your world all business owners are evil and rich.

I've come to accept these increases - don't like them, don't take the toll roads. The price of employer covered healthcare in itself will cause the need to cover that expense......and now with the new overtime legislation you can expect more increases.

Go to eat fast food...you can't really eat for less than a $5 bill anymore. Thank the lawmakers....

Actually, what we are experiencing now is no longer "Capitalism", and the way to know that is to "notice" how many "mom & pops" are left. (Chains aren't "mom and pop" FYI). Mom and pop shops were how this country survived and progressed for years. I can give you a NYC example: how many Chrysler buildings have you seen built in the last 20 years? All you've seen are ugly BOX skyscrapers depleted of any character. That right there speaks volumes as to how we "progressed". Look at Dubai and the innovative ways they build. Look at how we no longer have "classic cars", we were Capitalist back then too! So your argument is also flawed. What we are experiencing now, meaning since the last recession, is the increase of wealth in a few pockets, and guess what, that is not going to support an economy anywhere not just here. Countries like Greece who tried to simulate US type Capitalism are now in financial ruin, while OTHER Capitalist countries like Norway, and Sweden THRIVE and have the happiest citizens. For once take your head out and see what "ELSE" is out there! Your arguments are always personal attacks, with complete and utter disregard to what the conversation is, or what is "really" going on.

There are real people who know what's to come if this continues. Unfortunately for TAMPA, this is a PROBLEM because everyone here has to commute somewhere. In states like Florida, Arizona, and California where people don't really have any ways out of the suburbs, increasing tolls is a very insulting thing to do to your citizens.

Mom & Pop stores werent a bargain. Their prices were considerably higher than main stream stores.
They had no choice due to lack if buying power. They ordered a case or two and the big stores ordered 100 cases. Mom & Pops were all there was at one time. Nobody wanted to pay the higher prices and they folded up.

Chrysler Building? It is obsolete and does not meet the needs of today. It will eventually be turned into condos. Styles change over the years and "art deco" went out decades ago.

Dubai? Go live there if that is what you like.

Classic cars arent made. They become classics many years after manufacture. Cars that may be "classic" in the future may be Volkswagens GTi hatchback, Subaru BRZ sport coupe, the 250-horsepower ST version of the Ford Focus, Tesla Model S, Porsche Cayman S and the SRT Viper.

Kinda annoyed that your pockets didnt get fuller, arent ya?

This country has been around for 239 years. In that short time it has bailed out dozens of countries that were in financial ruin due to their wild spending sprees to make their citizens happy. Greece is further proof that Socialism has failed again. The U.S. has come to the rescue of a countless number of countries. If it werent for the US all of Europe would have been speaking German by 1950.

Your arguments are always attacksa on the U.S. government, State government, your local government and people from the Northeast. I served this country during a time if war and I will stand up for against any attacks until the day I die.

Increasing the toll on a road "insulting". What a joke.

You obviously have no appreciation for classics to make such a rude comment towards the Chrysler building.
Those types of buildings NEVER go out of style, and to say those cars will make "classics" it's insulting to people's intelligence! but that was really funny....hahahahahaha Those aren't "classics" those are the ugliest things ever! Tiny city cars with no character! Not surprising coming from you tho...Obviously you've never been around "real" classic cars. I don't like Porche's of any sort, too close to the ground for my taste. Not to mention that we don't have Autobahn's here to actually speed with those cars, so to drag them at 70mph is really not that interesting.

I am not looking for my "pockets to get fuller", because I am not driven by how many zeros are in my bank account; I know, tough concept for someone like you.

This country has been around for 239 years, while most others have been around for some thousands of years, and have had long lasting civilizations that most Americans either don't know about nor care to know, people who've left amazing things behind. What are we leaving behind??? Really, go study some history. Greece failed because it tried to simulate American Capitalism that won't ever work on any European, or other country in the world, because those people know what's theirs, and know how to demand respect from those leading them. The Gov here is made from very rich business people completely disconnected from real life; the sole fact that America treats its people like dirty diapers is proof of the hostility against the average citizen.

My arguments are directed at the Gov, because my Publix cashier is not the one deciding to increase my toll fees! Make sense?

Tampa doesn't need toll road increases.
