Hi-

I'm looking for a great 1 bedroom place in the downtown area. I'm moving from Sandpoint, ID where my company's headquarters is located at so I really need to immerse myself in city life. If I can't live in NYC, I'm going to try my best to make it seem like I do! I'm looking for something new and modern and located downtown...the perfect bachelor pad for a 27 year old business professional in the fashion retail industry. I've been researching the following areas/places:

Grand Central at Kennedy
Post Harbour Place
Post Hyde Park
Madison at SOHO
The Quarter at YBOR

Looking mostly in the downtown/channelside, harbour island, hydepark/soho area.

Any feedback or alternative suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! I want to stay within the 900-1100 range but I'm very flexible if the place is right.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Each very "city center" like...there will be more to walk to and see, and more people around in the Hyde Park area, which is les than a mile form downtown proper..Post Hyde Park, Madison, both hopping with activity, young urban professionals who like to escape to Howard Ave and Hyde Park hotspots, or take a taxi to Channelside/Ybor City areas for fun.

Channelside is a very new Urban area, as more people move in, there will be more amenities, slowly more is opening up that area. Ybor is for the Urban Pioneer, gritty, yet entertaining...walk to everything...lots of bars/clubs/restaurants of ALL kinds..theaters, arts...very historic character. The area directly to the north and east of Ybor City are not the best areas of the city....

Harbour Island is like a beautiful, modern, private Island in downtown Tampa...but not much to offer immediately on the isalnd..a few restaurants, but no stores, etc...its either a brief walk off the island, or one of the trolleys(purple and green trolleys)...

here is more info on downtown living
