Thank you very much for this question!! That is what teachers have been trying to get accross....They want to teach a good solid knowlege of their subject matter. The politics in the schools say they must teach to the test! as the kids keep getting further behind the classroom test curriculum changes! They ( at the top ) just do not get it. If we could go back in time the kids would be coming out so much smarter and prepared for the world! They stop teaching spelling in the 4th grade so we have kids who cannot read, spell nor write, graduating. Teachers are told what they can and cannot teach!

Stop blaming the teachers and start screaming at the top to get their hands out of the schools!!!
