My Husband and I are building a log home in Hawks Bluff, and we will be heading up there next month to check on the progress. I have noticed that the weather can get into the 40's this time of the year. It would be so nice if it snowed when we were up there. is it likely that it would snow this time of year?

we can't wait till our house is built, but will not move up there full time for a few years. and it is difficult to find rentals in that area. My husband and i found a place an hour away. i think we would be very successful renting in this area since we are 8 miles away from the park, and the log cabins in the park have to be reserved a year in advance.

anyone have any opinion on whether we would be successful renting a new Log Home in this beautiful area til we move up there full time?
thanks....

Default Freezing Tonight-

Last night about 32 degrees , forcast under 32 tonight, Dayton area. Good weather graph to bookmark is "weatherbird.net" can check all the prior stats from your home state , like we did. Your rental maybe answered your own question, but who would manage on a weekly basis, or not turn into hunting lodge ? Need to screen customers ??

Maryn, it is possible that you could see a light snow here in November. I don't think I would look for a lot of accumulation, but we usually get some snow flurries around the middle of November.

We've had some odd weather this fall so I'd be afraid to try and pin it down for sure. We've already had a couple of hard freezes and this usually causes the leaves to fall off the trees literally overnight-especially if it rains.

I was just out the other day and the leaves are still hanging on and colored up with some awesome views.

we would definatley have someone manage the rentals, and would most likely only rent to people who have bought in Hawks Bluff, and would like to vaction in the area to get to know the area. also the friends and family. my husband works in civil service so there are alot of firefighters and police officers that like to vaction in the mountains. the last thing we would want to do, is have our house neglected... we have been thinking long and hard about this since this will be our full time home in a few years. it would be nice to know that there are quality people who can respect other people's property.
