In downtown Amarillo, the air temp is -1 and wind chill of -30 visibility of 0.
Is it worse anywhere else in Texas?

I would much rather deal with the cold than the Hot Humid days of summer.......you can always add another layer or add another log to the fire.

School was cancalled In Amarillo today. Does anyone have snow totals yet? I'd imagine its over 6" for school to be out.

School was canceled in the DFW area today as well, even though there wasn't that much snow. The ice on the roads was the determining factor.

Here in Midland we had a 2 hour delay even though there was no precip.

nah, -1 is a bit much. extra layers don't do much for the misery.

and just like you can add another log to the fire in the winter, you can crank up the AC when it is hot

They never delay school here. I know of a few times that it wouldve been better tP delay it than outright cancel it.
