I'm not a big fan of Obama (voted for him, but am disappointed in his performance), but Rick Perry will never, ever get my vote.

I honestly don't see any Republican at this point who I think would do a better job, so I'll either not vote for the President, or have a "lesser of two evils" vote for Obama. ((leaning towards not voting at this point))

I won't waste my time talking about how bad Texas ranks in virtually every category. Let's keep it simple. Why would anyone vote for someone for president who has been so outspoken for Texas to secede? He is clearly the most polarizing politician today. McCain/Palin was a circus act for the GOP. I can't imagine how great Perry would make them look. I don't think the GOP wants him anyway.

Only if the Tea Partiers take over would Perry be a contender, and Bachmann is getting all the attention now due to her strong showing in Iowa. They both give me the hives.

I might vote for him in a talent show under the category "Best at creating dead end jobs" but certainly not for president.

I would vote for Perry ONLY because it would get him the hell out of Texas.

Personally, I feel it doesn't matter who the GOP rolls out, None of them have the political clout or reputation to overtake Obama. Almost all of the candidates are people no one's ever heard of.

This is what most people are thinking, I believe he'll be re-elected anyway.. Besides, In 2012 it'll have been 20 years since we had a 1 term President anyway, I doubt we'll see it again anytime soon.

No one outside of Texas would vote for Perry. Besides the dozens of other reasons he shouldn't be president, he is from Texas and that is all someone outside the state needs to hear. Dubbyas presidency virtually guarantees that no Texan will even be president again.

IMO, he's not entering the race to win it. He's positioning himself to be a credible nominee for Vice-President.

Pay attention to whether he spends large amounts of time campaigning in Iowa and New Hampshire. My guess is that he won't.
