I'd vote for Perry, of course, he's the best governor we ever had, Texas is strong and more powerful than ever, thanks governor Perry
I just don't understand...This probably isn't the forum for this, but what has he done that has made him the best governor ever? His record on education is abysmal, he is actively destroying the credibility of A&M (his worse indiscretion to me, anyway), and seems to be content on recording pointless soundbites whenever the camera is pointed toward him (let's secede, not taking bailout money, etc). To me, this isn't even a conservative vs. liberal issue (I consider myself an economic conservative). Anyway, he doesn't have a snowball's chance but the idea of him running scares me to death.

Again with the 'we'? Now you're calling yourself a Texan? I don't think so. You can't vote because you're not a citizen plus the fact that you DON'T LIVE HERE!

People on this forum have to at least know how to use a computer. I doubt that most of Perry's base voters know how to turn a computer on.

Now that he has officially endorsed and approved of the safe and wholesome practice of texting while driving 85 miles an hour, feel free to change your vote in this poll.

You mean more left than right. Obama's policies are unquestionably on the left side of the fence. There's nothing 'center' about what Obama does.

And what was unfortunate for America is the fact that the Democrats have held Congress (both houses) since 2007. Yes, I said 2007. Now that some ppl finally woke up from the so called "Change" brainwashing, the republicans finally were able to take off the hand cuffs and slow down (the evil witch of the west) Nancy Pelosi and her goons from helping Obama inflict further leftist damage to our country.

Am I crazy about Perry? No. But the day when Obama leaves the White House for good couldn't arrive here soon enough!

So it's looking like Dumbass (Perry) is gonna seek the Repug nomination. It will be a short-lived attempt. He's not going to do well and is likely to embarrass himself and the people of Texas.

Can we have just ONE thread in the entire City Data system that is NOT about Obama? Just ONE, Please?
If you must insist on turning this thread into just another copy-and-paste Obama-bashing thread, you could at least use your opportunity to explain just one specific thing that Obama has done, that Bush or Perry wouldn't have done, that has negatively impacted your own personal life?

Don't be so sure. I'm terrified of Perry running, as I think he's the only one who might be able to beat Obama. Don't forget that he made a Senator with nearly 70% approval ratings look like a scrub. Don't forget that the most credible nominee the Democrats could have possibly come up with was hammered in the general.

Sure Texas is a deep red state, but Perry is a master campaigner. I can't figure out how you can be such a master politician and simultaneously be such a terrible public servant, but he pulls it off wonderfully.
