There are many fine schools in Texas, but its extremely difficult to paint us as stronger than say California. University of California schools are mammoths! The UCs alone could equal and or outmatch any Texas university, including UT and Rice. We just need to invest more in higher ed.

I was speaking about Waco. Fort Worth and Waco aren't worlds apart.

Kinda. You're required to take 2 semesters of chapel and 2 semesters of some religous classes. It's not church though. Depending on the classmates; it can turn into church though lol

Fort Worth is a vastly more interesting city than Waco. Fort Worth has a vibrant downtown area bordering on "hip" now. Fort Worth has a top quality zoo, art museum, and many interesting restaurants.

Hip is almost against the law in Waco.

Would that not depend on what one's definition of "hip" was?

Bingo.

FW is the better choice and city [imo], but culturally they're more alike than different.

Also Cameron Park Zoo and the Mayborn Musuem are very nice; especially when considering Waco's size.
