idk, they are throwing up 20 story towers everywhere you look in the Energy Corridor it seems.
but yes, its progress.. that 23 story residential tower in Ft Worth should be a nice/noticable addition.

They're not going to be built in downtown...

Does it really? Because what I just read was that Dallas has a $299,330,000,000 economy. Atlanta has $304,900,000,000 economy. I'm pretty sure Atlanta's 304.9 is greater than Dallas' 299.33, but hey maybe that's just me.

Does anyone else on city data think that the figure $299.33 billion is greater than $304.9 billion? Or can you cite me where you read that for 2013 that Atlanta's economy was less than what I've read elsewhere?

Something else worth pointing out. The Metroplex economy has grown by nearly $65 billion in just 4 years. And that's a conservative estimated figure.

Um DFW economy is substantially larger than Atlanta's economy.

I'll trust lanative's numbers. I have no clue where you got yours from. you must be looking at something else. DFW has a larger economy.

I didn't say DFW, I said Dallas. The point of this thread was to point out the difference size between Dallas and Forth Worth and their economies. Right, or wrong?

And FYI, I got the Dallas figure from the OP of this post. If you want to know where I got Atlanta's 2013 number from, here ya go.

Yea, but that is kind of off topic. This was just a fun thread about DFW economic stats.

And I can respect that. Peter said though that Dallas without Fort Worth has a larger economy and I was simply pointing out that it wasn't accurate according to what I've read. But then I was quickly attacked as usual. I didn't come here to pick fights, just to point out facts. Which is that Dallas w/o Fort Worth is essentially Atlanta with a slighthly smaller population and smidget smaller GMP. I also realized just now that this is a Texas thread post that somehow ended up in the City vs City section, which is how I saw it.

I might needs to pack my post and run. It makes sense now why no one refuted that claim and I'm probably about to be eaten alive for wandering into this territory. My bad.
