The link below shows DFW metro stats separately. It's very interesting data.

Yes very interesting indeed. I hate when they separate these two though because it in no way shape or form depicts an accurate picture. It's tough to find a dividing line between the two because stopping at the county line is just not correct.
half of DFW airport, Grand Prairie, etc are not included in the Dallas numbers, so it's just hard to split the two.

And this should be the reason the Rangers should be on the Dallas side of the metro. Look at those Dallas numbers compared to Tarrant county.

If the Rangers were going to be on the Dallas side of the Metroplex, then it would have happened in '94.

Also, that's really not a good enough reason. Dallas is the bigger city in the more populated county. OF COURSE those numbers are bigger...

Which is something Dallas people have a hard time understanding. Fort Worth holds its own for its size. Yeah, some people on the FW side commute to the Dallas side, but you don't think people from the Dallas side commute to the FW side? I knew a few at my job in Arlington.

And this is exactly why it's one metro area.

Yeah, but for some coworkers, the job was as far west as they ever would go in DFW. So almost like FW wasn't even there. It worked the other way too.

Yeah. My mom lives in Dallas and works in Tarrant County. Heck she even shops at a grocery store that in both Tarrant and Dallas county. That's why I laugh when people say Dallas and Fort Worth should be separate metros.

If nothing else, Dallas should be quite re-assured by these stats. Dallas (without Fort Worth) has a larger economy than Atlanta.
