Yep, I voted Maryland, because they were the closest, to being Southern, now more Yankee, due to migration from the true Northeast. IMHO. But none on the list are really Yankee.

Texas' border problem is not the Rio Grande. Texas' border problem is the Red River. Yankees cross the Red River. DAMN Yankees are the ones that never go back.

You are the only person I’ve ever heard call Californians “Yankees” and I was born in Texas.

My old roommate from here (Like 6th gen Texan or something) would consider all the above Yankee states. Our other friend from California laughed so hard he almost cried when he was called a "Yankee"
