Quitaque, Miami, Balmorhea, Study Butte, Riviera, Runge, Uvalde, Zuehl - and I'll admit I don't know the proper pronunciation for Muenster.

I've heard non-Texans mispronounce Leakey, Lubbock, and Pearsall.

And how does anyone mispronounce Murchison?

Just by sight, I would have been inclined to pronounce it "murch" (like "lurch") but AFAIK it is pronounced MURK-I-SON.

I don't see any problem with the other listed.^^^
But apparently people have problems even with super easy names like: Waco, Elgin, Amarillo, Marathon, New Berlin, San Marcos, Houston, Blanco, or Salado... seriously???

For those who don't know how to say it, here is a guide:

I would add New Braunfels and Goldthwaite.

Mexia is definitely the most mis-pronounced town in Central Texas.

Yes. It's pronounced lane- cuh- ster.

To add more confusion. A major street in FW is Land (silent d)- cast- er.
