Lol...MUCH safer?

If you had said a BIT safer (this year, at least), I'd have agreed. But you said MUCH safer, which is an all-out lie.

Typical Dallas homerism, lol

Side note: Just as a warning...projecting that Houston (or any other city) "homers" will jump on your deceptive post and defend their city will NOT, in fact, stop them from doing so.

There...I gave you the attention you so desperately were seeking. Happy now?

This is a hard topic to give a definite answer on.

Since I was born and raised in Dallas and have lived in Houston since 1980, I think I can comment with some experience on both cities.

Honestly...it depends on which part of either city you are in, as to how "safe" you are.

Overall..I don't think one is way more "safe" than the other. There are scary and safe parts of both cities...lets be honest.

I was born and raised in Dallas. I do remember a few spots in Dallas that used to be considered "Scary"... But that was in the late 90's early 2000's. The scariest neighborhood back then was Dixon Circle. A place where morning shoot outs would happen before school while kids are getting on the school bus. A place where you dare not went if you wasn't with somebody who lived over there. These days those neighborhoods are quiet and easy-going. The new generation of crime in Dallas is not necessarily in run-down neighborhoods.

North Dallas is ridden with crime. There are so many nice, well-kept older and brand new apartment complexes everywhere!!....But they still have Daytime shoot outs murders every other day.. Huge drug bust and everything that comes with it. It's kind of deceiving because in the daytime if you're not from here you would think some neighborhoods are safe because of the looks of things.....Looks can definitely be deceiving.

So the neighborhood that you would think is safe is probably the crime-infested one filled with young thugs that just got a gun who live with their girlfriend who has a good job with a nice apartment....waiting to go stand in front of the corner store and sell you some weed.....

.....End of rant...
