If you're talking about LA then Houston is the most SoCal like city in Texas. Houston & LA are very similar in a lot of ways.

Nope

Austin is more like SF or Northern Cali.

El Paso? Has mountains, dry heat, like inland S. Calif. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Austin is only similar & I use that word lightly to California because of where its located near the Hill Country (Silicon Valley) & the Liberal vibe (Bay Area) that is present mainly due to the fact its the State Capital & University of Texas are located there.

Other than that, Austin is purely Texas through & through. I don't care what anyone says or wants to believe.

Find the most overpriced real estate in Texas, and there you will find where the other californians are have moved to. Why do I say this? because these areas have been inflated with fake californian equity.

I don't think that hills and 3 zip code liberalism make Austin like California- thank goodness.

Well, he went to school in Germany but in all seriousness, he was also thinking about being nearer to my sister and her family who had moved to Texas from CA in 1965. Whatever, he just wasn't thinking sensibly......period!! He knew after a while he made a mistake, but he only lived nine years after the move, so he doesn't have to worry about a thing anymore.

I would like live in a town or city with nice cars, pretty women and an abundant nightlife. and a Park so I can go Jogging.

I also like Car shows , Mountain Biking, And Motocross
I would like a place thst has a vibrant economy, people who are openminded, friendly and not bible talking me every few minutes.
I don't want to stand out too much Neither !

Plug me in TIGHT. Could yah ?

Thanks, Bon
I might be reading into this all wrong, but it sounds like you're trying to find a place that's also more open to an alternative lifestyle. If that is indeed the case, just spell it out and that way you'll be able to get a more accurate view on what it is you're angling for.

California is California, and Texas is Texas. I don't think any place in Texas is very much like California. No value judgements implied.
