You guys are mistaken.

As far as the Katrina thing, that was an effect in 2005-2006, but most of the ones who caused trouble have since left or been arrested. It's mostly a non-issue since 2008.
Also remember many of them went to Dallas and San Antonio as well.

Arrow Crime

I thought it was well known Dallas has had the highest crime in the state for many years.

Houston ranks 2nd, but Houston is a larger city.

Then again, I wonder if any of these rankings considered some of the border towns along Mexico, which have got to be the worst with all these Mexican gang wars spilling over. El Paso is bad.

San Antonio has very low crime for a city of its size.

Austin has higher than you would think.

Yeah, people are talking about what happened in 2005-2006 timeframe. The crime rate has dropped since then. Even with the evacuees, Houston's crime rate was never as high as Dallas's.
