Please check the threads for existing discussions on the Toyota recall before submitting a new thread that contains the same information an existing thread. This will alleviate the situation where we have multiple, simultaneous discussions, with many of the same posts/points, and it will make it easier to have the information in one thread for people to discuss.

Here is a link to the thread that has merged past Toyota threads for a general discussion of the recall:

Toyota recall DISCUSSION thread

Here's a link to current safety-related issues with vehicles affected by the recall, but please discuss the issues in the thread above. Let's use this thread for safety updates, going forward, so that they're not lost in the long discussion threads.

Toyota recall SAFETY BULLETIN thread

This thread discusses the procedure for the recall process, and discussions of the safety topics should be included here, keeping the above thread for safety bulletin information on the recall:

Toyota recall PROCEDURE thread

Here's a link to a discussion of the brand perception of Toyota, going forward:

Toyota BRAND DISCUSSION thread

Here's a link to a current discussion on sales reports that affect Toyota:

January sales reports thread - INCLUDES TOYOTA

The Prius brake issue, is not due to the same recall affecting other Toyota models, information/discussion can be found here:

Toyota PRIUS brake recall issue (separate from other Toyota recall)

Hopefully, this can help to keep the information organized and discussions proceeding so that everyone can benefit, from finding information to voicing an opinion. Let's keep the threads on topic. Thank you.

And, if you cannot find the right thread, it's fine to submit a new thread, as always, but if a new discussion meets the criteria outlined above, it may be merged to provide for an orderly information flow/discussion of this current issue.

Thank you!
