Everyone will have a different definition of what is 'well travelled', but I feel its more than having stamps in your passport. Like with anything the more time you invest in a particular area the more you adapt and learn and take out of that experience. I notice a lot of people while travelling overseas just want a more luxurious version of what they experience at home and are not particularly interested in delving too deep into local customs/interests.
