What are some accepting and safe countries to raise a black family? I'm in a very unique position where I can travel extensively with my children and would like to take advantage of that. I've heard mixed reviews regarding Canada, but wouldn't mind more input. I've lived in London, England for a few years and absolutely loved it (but hard to relocate there..easier with my husband being in military but now he's deceased). I've heard great things about Edinburgh, Scotland (even considered going to graduate school there). However, I would appreciate more suggestions. Any ideas on where I can raise my children outside of the USA?
The UK. Without a doubt. It's the sweet spot for education, location and basic human decency. Any mid-sized town will do. Best of all, no language barrier. Just an unnatural affinity for the letter "U."
And your able to stay long term with what citizenship or visa status?
I'm debating on whether to go to graduate school or start my own business. So, that would require either a student or entrepreneur/investor visa. I'd hate to waste educational benefits and the chance to go back to school free.
In some countries, the retiree visa is a close fit with the exception of my age. I receive my husband's pension, but I'm in my 30s while they require an older age.
@Scoop--I keep finding my way back to the UK. It's holds a special place in my heart.
@Wanderer--I haven't considered Brazil. There would be a language barrier since they speak Portuguese, but that doesn't bother me. I did hear that it's a little dangerous there which concerns me.

There are safe places in Brazil, but the cost of living is also quite high. Having a dollar-based pension would definitely help in that regard, but if you want American-style amenities it's going to often cost more there than here because of taxes and tariffs.
It's unfortunate that the crime situation in South Africa is what it is because I've got a black friend of a friend whose job took him and his family there and they love it. Their kids go to a multicultural school with a number of kids of local movers and shakers, and they feel like they get a lot more of the good kind of black peer pressure for academic success than they got when they lived in the States.
I have a friend who is looking into doing her masters in Finland for free. The courses are taught in English. There's probably an international school taught in English for your daughters. I studied in Goteborg, Sweden at the IHM (Institute for Higher Marketing) for a couple of years and I didn't speak Swedish. Everyone spoke English fluently except for the elderly and even they knew enough to have a basic conversation with me. I had a great experience when I was there.
I'm married to a German and we go to Berlin once a year. I'm always surprised how much English is spoken there. We've entertained the idea of moving but decided against it because we have a daughter now. I'm Afro-Caribbean.

Is there any countries exist black family banned? I think you can live any where if you have proper papers.

Some places are more accepting of blacks than others. I'd rather live in one of those places than not, which is the reason for the question.
