Budapest is really fantastic and I actually prefer it to Prague though many would not agree. Their museum of Ethnology opposite the Parliament is superb. And the Parliament building is so,so beautiful too.

Oh, wow! I was stationed in South Korea back in 1998-1999. If you go to the Vegas Bar there, tell them I said hi. I used to go there on the weekends sometimes, when I was stationed there in the Army. I miss the nightlife there, that's for sure. It was fun and cheap!! Great dancing and most of the bartenders there were American educated too, which is a plus.

New Orleans, LA, on 12/26/09 for a week with subsequent stops in Lafayette, Breaux Bridge, Natchez, Oxford, Memphis, and Nashville. Returning mid January

Quebec City and Montreal, Quebec, for possibly a few days to a week in the early spring.

Early summer, planning to take a northern road trip through Minnesota, Wisconsin, Montana, Wyoming, Oregon, and Washington, with a possible stop in South Dakota on the way back if time provides.

Don't have the cash for another international trip (did northern and central Italy in the spring) until next December, when I plan to do Munich and surrounding Bavaria for a week and a half - 2 weeks.

Going to travel through all of Poland in late March/early April. Writing a novel on the holocaust and looking to research. Have always wanted to go since I was a kid.

I haven't quite decided if I'm gonna go anywhere for New Years, but if I do, it'll either be Miami or Raleigh.

In early February, I'm planning a New England/Quebec trip which will include Boston, Maine, Quebec City and Montreal..and possibly a stop in Philadelphia on the way back down.

As far as the rest of 2010, it's all up in the air, but I'm almost certain I will make a trip or two..or three to Miami at some point in the year.

Also, if the money is available, I might join a friend who is traveling to South Korea by the latter part of 2010.

I went to Krakow earlier this year and, while staying there, visited Auschwitz. Also went down to Zakopane and as it was snowing heavily there I took a country bus. Had a wonderful time at a village called Chocholow and then walked across the border into Slovakia. One of the most awesome things I've ever experienced, walking across a border on a deserted road in the barren, snowy countryside.

February next year, I'll be going to Slovenia for 4 days and will try to squeeze in a side-trip to Trieste in Italy one of the days
