Not surprising at all, Though Kato is a slacker and freeloader and this no doubt gets him back into the public eye and may get some money for any interviews. This statement does not have much impact from a legal due to the acquittal and the fact O.J. is in prison anyway.

That's what I was thinking, too. He's broke and needs some money and some publicity.
He's just another worthless dirt bag! He knew what happened ...most knew it, except for the "Clueless" jury.
They knew, too. It was a statement against the racism of the LAPD and the incompetence of the prosecutors.
Do you remember that one detective who said on the stand " I have never used the N word" and then they played a tape of him saying it about fifteen times?
That's okay, though, OJ got caught in the web of a Nevada Judge / Politician who was looking to advance a career. Never a bright thing to do.

That's what made Kato so "charming." Even his name fits. Always wondered what he has been up to for the last 18 years, since 1994. Knowing where Rosa is would also be interesting. I'll bet that, after that mess, she packed up and went back to El Salvador (IIRC) and said adios to LA's glitterati.
I really didn't know OJ was in prison, because I ignored any news items related to him out of lack of interest. So, it was the Vegas thing, then. Then, a relatively petty thing landed him in jail, whereas acquittal from a major crime landed him on the golf course in South Florida. I've often wondered how the not guilty verdict REALLY played out in the mind of the late Johnny Cochran(e).

Isn't that what Tonya Harding has been doing, too, for quite a while? Now she has supposedly cleaned up her act and is a Mom.
