Animals would act better than these people did . I agree it was a senseless act and they should be tried as adults and im sorry as the old saying goes " dont want to do the time then dont do the crime " . Boo hoo his family is upset guess mama or daddy should have been home to watch and know what was going on at home then .Im sick of thugs and their familys boo hooing about the way they have to pay for the crime .
As long a they fall in age in state law to be certified as adults I see no problem. In many states they would have been adults as far as criminally at 17.

Agree about the animals. It bothers me so much when people compare them to animals.
When I think of that poor woman's life ruined by those thugs, I want to scream.
The same thing happened to a local woman about 10 years ago. She and her husband were on their honeymoon, traveling in another state, when a boulder was dropped from an overpass onto their car below. She was lucky to survive, but sustained severe and disfiguring head and facial injuries.
Nobody commits this kind of an act without knowing full well what the result will be. They should be punished accordingly.
"Don't put him in jail - he won't be a good person coming out...."
He wasn't a good person going in!
