Just happened to see this site and decided to post it for those of you who try to choose an area of town to live in. The picture is obviously not much different that the TPD crime maps, but this site offers more details about the type of crime likely to occur in certain areas and it can give you a second opinion and reassurance.

And of course I can't rep you, but thanks for that link! There's only one thing in our neighborhood, but it was a burglary that happened 3 days ago on the street next to ours! During the day!! Well, that makes me feel good working from home.

Sure. I thought it was helpful.

mdtoaz, if I were you I'd put up a banner - I WORK FROM HOME - in front! I know, it's not funny...

Well, luckily I do have a big dog that barks at the slightest strange noise... and although he's not mean, he sounds very mean.

Also, just for kicks, I looked up Baltimore on that map. It's definitely a different picture!! A lot more of the little red shooting targets than in Tucson. I guess that makes me feel a little better.

Really? I haven't looked at other places for comparison, but all the guns and masks on our map were scary enough.

Great point, mdtoas

Due to my career, I have "lived around" a number of different cities around this country, both large and small, and I can assure you Tucson is not perfect nor the safest place to live but definitely NOT anywhere close to the top of the list . . . THANKFULLY!

Also, I am convinced many of the crimes reported could and should have been avoided with a very small amount of COMMON SENSE.

Tucson's defintely has more masks, but B-more wins out on the targets. That's a pretty cool site, though.

Default Tubac - Safe Area?

We are looking to move to the Barrio De Tubac Subdivision. We are concerned with safety issues (being 24 miles from the border) and also availability of Health Facilities. We would appreciate any information on this Subdivision and Area.

Thanks
