How many local city newspapers are there in Tucson? Which are published daily, once per week...and which are the best to read about the fullest amount of Tucson news going on?

Along these lines, can a person subscribe and read them fully on line...see their ads, public opinions, etc.?

Thanks.

The Explorer is a weekly that comes out every Wednesday, available in print or online.

The Explorer - The Voice of Marana, Oro Valley and Northwest Tucson > Front

It's a good source of news and information for people in the north part of Tucson. Places like Marana, Oro Valley, Oracle, Saddlebrooke.

I never used to read it, but since we moved to Red Rock, I've been checking it out every week. I use it a lot to find activities for my kids and the advertisements for businesses and services in the northwest valley.

When I watch television news, I usually watch KOLD 13 because they're based in the northwest and they tend to have better coverage of stories from out this way.

Thanks for the info, Billy. I had no idea the OV area had a newspaper and the same with KOLD. I usually watch KVOA at 5:00 for the weather, mostly. I'm glad to know about these as I live in OV.

Default Yuk!

The Arizona Daily Star is la-la-land left 'n written at about the 8th grade level. Generally fit to line the bottom of a bird cage. Best 'news' source is radio... 101.4 FM and KOLD on the tube or on-line.
