Hi everyone out there in Oklahoma..such a wonderful state. Could you
please tell me how the job situation is out there especially in construction. I lived in Tulsa some years ago and family and I enjoyed it
very much..how´s things going in Oklahoma City....a great state, Okie, Okay,,,,,appreciate any info...thanks..Margart

Our unemployment is pretty low compared to the national average. I think construction has slowed some in our state, but still progressing from what I can see. My brother works for a large architectural firm in Tulsa and he said they are very busy right now and always tend to stay that way. If I was to guess, I'd say construction is even in better shape in our sister city down the turnpike. Especially since they tend to hoard all the tax dollars since that's where the state capitol sits! Not that we are bitter or anything over here in Green Country!

Yeah, Oklahoma City is doing great! We are about to build a massive skyscraper, the Devon Tower, and the Medical District is building a lot of buildings.

Yes, the construction industry in OkC is probably much stronger than in Tulsa as lasomeday noted. In fact overall, the job industry in OkC seems to be stronger, at least in my profession. However, that is due to the massive federal presence in the area (at least in my line of work).
