Regarding What's Happening, yes - decent show.

Raj and his family lived in a nice house. He had good friends. I liked that they had a diner where he and his friends hung out. They were supposed to be a "working class" family, and it was positive. Raj was nice, kind of goofy, but nice. I would have dated him back then. Good show, usually.

However, the Jeffersons is one of my favorite black sitcoms. Also Sanford and Son. Sometimes Good Times is up there (the James episodes). Living
Single was okay sometimes.

I love Martin now. Took a while for it to grow on me, but I appreciate it.

Also, The Steve Harvey sitcom was good.

There were so many good shows; couldn't pick just one.

That's your opinion.

The Jeffersons is a black sitcom to me because the main characters ("George" and "Louise") are black.

You don't know me, so responding like that was unnecessary. This is just a forum full of strangers, expressing opinions.

I'll no longer reply to you. This is all so silly. Surely YOU understand that ...

Because it is true. It's the American double standard.

Well it wouldn't be any point in asking what was the greatest white sitcom because it would be too many to choose from. The only black shows you have are from the 70's to the 90's and it's not more than 20.

How many white sitcoms are there? 654?-lol

HA! True. Comment was not a cut on you at all. I'd say about 5% of all sitcoms are really worth watching - black or white. The few that survive the cut are brilliant.
