Survivor: Redemption Island Feb 16 2011: Are you anxious and ready for it. What do you think of the new premise for Survivor, the "Redemption Island" and the new rules about the quitters and jury duty.

nitram, you don't waste time, do you?

I think it could be fun. I don't totally get it though. When do they decide that you aren't eligible to be brought back into the game again? I'm assuming it's before the merge or before the jury.

I think quitters shouldn't be on the jury, so I think it's a good rule change.

According to Probst, after the initial TC the person voted off goes to Redemption Island and stays there until the next person voted off arrives, then those 2 will have an elimination contest and that loser will be booted out. Then this same scenario repeats itself week after week.

The location is Nicaragua: Producers Shake Things Up for 'Survivor: Redemption Island'

On TV without Pity someone was saying that this is sort of like how they did the Israeli Survivor. I didn't even know there was an Israeli Survivor lol! But some googling may bring up something.

Here's from Jeff's Blog

REDEMPTION ISLAND
I do believe this is our biggest twist yet.

I do believe it will change the game in a huge way.

I do believe you are going to love it.

Give it a chance. Have some faith that we know what you guys want and expect from your favorite show.

If after 6 episodes the majority of you do not love what is happening with Redemption Island, you can let me know and I will vote myself off the show.

How’s that for stakes?

Nicaragua. I read months ago that there will be back to back Nicaragua seasons, just like Samoa and Heroes vs Villains.

Just once, I'd like to see them survive in the wilds of Alaska.

Now that we know, as well as the Survivor players, what Russell is all about, it will be interesting to see how the other's play out their stratagies against him and hold him at bay this time.
My wife thinks it's funny when I get all riled up at him and yell at the screen. Gotta please the wife ya know.

Wait, what? Russell? I definitely can't watch if he's on it. If they just do casting they players might not get rid of him because they don't know much about the game.
