who are the Beckhams and why are they coming to America?
Vapid, vacuous, shallow, self centered morons with the IQs of comatose halibuts and all about "look at me,me, me". He is a footballer , she is a no talent ex spice girl ( can't sing, can't dance, can't act, have terrible dress sense, heck I will succeed" and they are both multi,multi millionaires. They are the bottom of the barrel after the barrel has been scraped , and scraped, and scraped again.
They have come to LA so they can be even richer and even shallower and hopefully so that people here in the UK do not have to suffer their daily egomaniacal wallowing in the news. Avoid at all costs if you have any brains.

It meant nothing when this tramp was a SpiceGirl, and it means even less now that she snagged a super-rich, super hot athlete. USA doesn't even go for the Soccer games, so who cares?
Well, Los Angeles has started a professional soccer team this year (LA Galaxy?) and David Beckham is going to be their star athlete. And for some reason NBC, and the companies that paid for commercials during the show, thought that we Americans should watch their lives here; a la The Osbourne Family. You should have seen the paparazzi swarming them. I wish that the media would quit force feeding us this kind of stuff and focus on real people making a difference in everyday lives. (just my .02). They are sooooo over rated. I mean, who cares???? I don't even know why anyone would want to know anything about this couple. He plays soccer. Okay??? So? She is an ex-semi-star that was a flash in the pan years ago. Okay??? So? The only reason I can think of as to why they are on the cover of every magazine and in every news story is that maybe they paid someone to put them there. They are not front page news.. Heck, they aren't even news.
Dawn, I am so glad that you posted. I have been dying to talk to someone about this. Did you watch the part where she went to the "socialite" luncheon?? It was a bunch of "mature" ladies (who had a little too much collagen) and they were all getting sloshed. Did you notice who else was there??? Marla Maples (the ex Mrs Donald Trump!)!!!! I was howling that there were all of these "held together courtesy of the plastic surgeon" types and then there was Marla (at least 30 years age difference). Ok, I've been catty enough for one day.
