Anybody watching Harry's Law? I was looking forward to it because it stars Kathy Bates so knew it would be 'different' than the standard fare. I DVR'd 3 weeks worth before sitting down to watch it. Supposedly takes place in Cincinatti but from the scripts (ALL of them so far!) you'd think it was set in San Francisco or at least Seattle. All the characters are extremely verbose, loooong speeches, all of them very blatantly promoting their social agendas. Too much so.
I mean it is intriguing and dramatic at the same time entertaining............and very different in the treatment of the issues. I watch it. But in reality would Harry Corn be running gun's on the side? Do you get what I'm asking? Is this a believable plot?

Have you seen David E Kelley's other tv creations, ie Boston Legal? He consistently brings forth the it-could-happen-but-most-likely-doesn't-in-real-life plots on every show. I loved Boston Legal and love Harry.
For me that is the fun, the draw: that things go a l-i-t-t-l-e too far, are wacky and even bizarre. (not real world stuff).
You can catch Boston Legal reruns for free on tv land.

You can catch Boston Legal reruns for free on tv land.[that makes /quote SENSE>I am thankful for that explanation...........LIKE Harry Pulling the gun at the meeting with a street gang............that should have been the end of the series, but she pulls it off, then only to uncock the hammer and point it at the ceiling, as if to say ,I am still ready and I will put a cap in any one who makes a false move.....
If the show was very close to what a real-life lawyer does, most people would be bored to death! It's okay with me that it kind of goes outside the box in that sense.
I love it and the shoe store supports the law firm and im sure one day it will be the other way around . i absoloutly love this story and love the charecter of Tommy Jefferson . He is a hoot !!!
