I loved Harry's Law in it's first season. It had a quirky cast in an unlikely an unlikely setting(lawyers operating out of a shoe store lol)but DEK had to do what he does with many of his shows. He had to tweek it to make it better. Imo,there was nothing wrong with the show to begin with. It was the characters&their workplace setting that set it apart. That was a huge part of it's appeal. Now it's just another 'law firm' show. I can't stand the it now. I couldn't get watch more than 15 minutes of it!
Why does DEK always do this to his shows? He,imo,is his own worst enemy. He fiddles around with a show that's working, improves it and shortly therafter the network cancels it. Only difference this time is he did it to HsLaw during the second season rather than wait until the fourth or fifth as he usually does with his shows.
It's a shame because Harry's Law had real potential.
I'm through with DEK shows. He never fails to ruin them.
I found the first season way lower than my expectations of it. I am glad that they made these changes. I got so sick of the young puppy love and the predictable and all too frequent 'cute' jokes/remarks. You need some serious drama as a backdrop for the funny quips. I like the story continuing over several episodes.
