And those of us who stuck with it will never solve the mystery. Same happened with Rubicon. Great show that was cut becasue it was too intellectual for the general population. I'm still upset that I didn't have a chance to figure it out.

When did I say that it was uncommon? I said "it always makes me scratch my head..." meaning that I have seen it many times. Doesn't make it any less stupid, IMO.

ugh, for some strange reason mine did not record last night. buy i see it will be repeated on march 10th.

or wait...was there not one last night?

They ran the Daytona 500 in that spot instead. I think it was a late decision. Doesn't bode well for Alcatraz though, when they kill a new episode for a car race.

The only reason Daytona was on last night was because it was delayed due to rain. Fox was already commited to airing it, so it really had nothing to do with Alcatraz. Same thing would have happened to the highest rated show on television.

Yep. It happened to House too. It has nothing to do with how Fox felt about the shows scheduled last night.
