I agree. I will never understand the decision to cancel "Miami" and keep "NY."

I read over the weekend that now "NY" will probably go this year. Good riddance.

And, sadly "Vegas." I really like that.

I LOVE Vegas and for the life of me I can't understand why it is on the chopping block. Shows like that grow through word of mouth and they don't even give it time for the word to spread. I guess they don't realize that shows such as Cheers and NCIS that went on to become mega hits started out with poor ratings their first year. I wonder how many really good shows have been cancelled too soon while stupid shows like 2 1/2 men seem to go on forever.

Southland is a great example of this. Luckily TNT picked it up.

Speaking of which I hope they don't cancel this show either. The season finale viewed more like a series finale.

Miami and NY were toss ups. They literally were as close as flipping a coin to decide which to cancel. It came down to the fact that "NY" was New York City and CBS could create a "NY-fest" Friday night. (at the time CSI: NY, Made in Jersey, Blue Bloods)

Yes, because so little TV revolves around NYC. How unique..

I don't understand it at all. The acting is great. The show looks fabulous - l love the clothes, furnishings, etc. from that era. I understand that they have taken some liberties with the actual history, but, it's not meant to be a documentary.
Just no accounting for taste, as they say.
