With Sheen this show overplayed its hand. It was like an old horse on its way to the glue factory. This season with Ashton Kutcher it is DOA.

I wasn't thrilled with week two, but I thought week three was a great improvement. Seems alot of questions that people asked on this thread had been answered quite nicely, such as the rooming divisions Kutcher's character's inmaturity, etc. I wasn't a regular veiwer of the show prior to Kutcher joining the cast anyway, though I did enjoy watching it ever so often over the years.

I also watched it intermittently, and especially in the episodes in which Jane Lynch portrayed his psychiatrist.

OK I will try to watch one more week if something funny doesn't click this may be my last,
it so sad with the rest of the cast so good they would pick A.K. who doesn't have a clue about humor

well thank god for the cast !, funny Allen has become the main character and he is doing quite well but as for AK the writers could have used Roses mannequin
I will give it another week

Being a big fan of Two and a Half Men, I was anxious to see the new episodes with Ashton. I have to say, I am not impressed.. not at all. It's like Kelso from that 70s show, moved west... not good at least not yet. I will give it a full season to see how it developes but if things don't improve, I don't expect i will be adding this show to my DVR record list.

.
Isn't it great. Loved the episode, so glad to be rid of the emphasis on the over indulgence in alcohol. I've recently been watching more older episodes and Allen has always been a main feature, not big change there.

With the Charlie Sheen character the show was all about Alan trying to get him to see the error of his ways in the heavy drinking and prostitutes. But Charlie was happy with his life and happy taking jabs at Alans nerd/conservitism. With the Ashton Kucher character Alan is trying to get him to see just how good he has it with his money, his hotness and his huge penis. At this rate the Ashton character WILL BE the Charlie character by the end of the season...the only thing that would prevent this is the sub plot with AKs wife because she always brings him back to reality. BTW I do like that part...And the son..so disappointed in that...another teen-ager with an entitlement complex.
Hadn't thought of it that way but the poster was right about the AK character being a Kelso redeaux. When I read that it was like a light bulb going off in my head. Enjoying the show but don't think it will make it.
