I can barely handle this show. It is definitely not for me. My bf watches it and I will look up at it every once in a while thinking, "WTH?"

Then I ask a question about it, he answers, rewinds, and watches again. But hey. He watches Bridezillas with me so I don't complain about Dr. Who to him.

=)

Pikantari, you could probably thank Dr. Who for adpapting your BF's mind to accept the terrifying, thus the acceptance of Bridezillas...

I used to watch Dr. Who somewhere in the waaayyyy back machine but not lately. Ticked off that my fave sports team wasn't broadcast yesterday, I wound up on the (I guess it was) last years season finale. Then the Christmas show, then the new season premiere. It was pretty good, I enjoyed it. I wish them the best of luck this season, most of which I will miss. But I'm glad the show is still around and doing well.

Bridezillas cracks us up every single time. One time we were watching it, one of the bridezillas said the same exact thing I say to him all the time and I just died. He told me he wasn't saying a word.......

The series opener was pretty damn good. Didn't see the twist coming, even though I knew something was up. The Daleks chanting "Dr. Who?" at the end was priceless.

They are splitting the season into two parts rather than having all thirteen (?) episodes air all in a row. This is their latest strategy to have enough time to get a full season filmed without having to cut any corners.

Back in the Russell Davies era, they had trouble getting the seasons done on time without having the staff and actors being overworked. They would produce one episode per season that barely featured the lead actors in an effort to give them a break (remember "Blink"?) mid-way through. I think this "mid-season break" is actually a better solution. It's like having a bagful of candy and deciding to eat one piece per day rather than eat the whole thing at once. You have more time to enjoy the candy, and it stretches out the experience.

Daleks again? Let me guess...in this episode they were trying to kill the doctor and take over Earth...
