I wish we'd get Canadian TV!!! Could hold me over until the next TAR here in the States. If it doesn't return until December, it's going to be a looooonnnnnggg summer and fall...
I absolutely detest this show, why do they keep it on??? It usually runs over it's time slot and makes the show after it come on late, it's just a horrible show.
The Amazing Race always runs its normal time. 1hour. It's the sports programming in the afternoon which pushes 60 minutes back, which pushes the 8:00 show back... CBS could program differently like fox does with more after show and have reruns that can be not shown but they like when everything is delayed to a point because they beleive it makes people stick with CBS during the night.

I can't imagine it starting in December since there would be a long hiatus over the Christmas break, but I guess we'll see. The CBS network meeting is next Wednesday so their fall schedule should be announced then. That's when it will be confirmed when it is returning.

I suspect it's to get a ratings boost for 60 Minutes, since the sports delays always make it bleed over into TAR time.

Here in the Mountain time zone, we've never (I don't think~~nitram?) had a delay in TAR. Football is at 10:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. until standard time (Arizona doesn't change, but the world does), then it's 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., so the games are over by either 4:00-ish or 5:00-ish. Then local news, 60 Minutes at 6:00, and TAR at 7:00, other programming until 10:00 p.m. for our late night news. Bed at 10:35 p.m. unless there's a lot of cable stuff to stay awake for. In Hawai'i, football is on at 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.--over by 2:00 p.m. so you've got the beach all afternoon with plenty of time to get home for TAR at 7:00 p.m.!!
