Finale was really confusing, no idea what was going on (and I'm a sci-fi dork who can usually keep up with alternate realities, shifting timelines and the like).
But man, if there's one thing this show has repeatedly done well, it's goodbyes.

Even for someone who saw all 134 previous hours they did pull out a bunch of previous unexplained deus ex machina to get to the desired point with a late flashback after the "tell us where you were Fitz" line.
I don't see it as a natural finale like the fly off to the Tahiti honeymoon season 5 series finale. But then they already took their shot when Disney unexpectedly said give us 26 more hours.

Completely agree. The end of Season 5 felt completely satisfying and felt a a "natural finale" as you describe it very well. It put a nice final ribbon on the box of the series.
The actual season finale was fine, but it didn't feel grand or like an ultimate closure. I liked it, but can't say it was "memorable" in any sense. I still remember Season 5's finale (which I thought was the series finale).

Quite understandable to me, and I thought it was well done. However, I am sorry to see it go. Only Marvel show I ever liked.
After all the time travel in the last season and bringing back characters I didn't remember, I started watching the whole series again. Currently in season 5 and this show is so much better without the long breaks. Little things they bring in and then don't touch on them until a season or 2 later, that now make sense.
