"Those Who Kill" is a new show premiering next Monday - the 3rd - on A&E.
I was able to watch the pilot on On Demand. It stars Chloe Sevigny as a detective for the Pittsburgh (Allegheny County) Police Department. She appears to have some serious psychological problems - and I don't mean that in a comedic way.
I'm not going to say any more. If you have On Demand, watch it, and then we can discuss it. I don't believe that there will be many people who will find this show to be in the middle of the pack. My guess is that you will either love it or you will hate it - but we'll see.
I have Comcast xfinity and would love to see the pilot, but all they offer is just a short first look. I like series like the killing and character driven police procedures series so it is on my list of seeing.

It will be on A&E next week on Monday. You will be able to watch it then.
I like Chloe - you should check out a movie she did which takes place in...Ireland? England? Where she is sort of a low rent contract killer.
When you say psych problems I'm hoping this is not another asperger's type like in The Bridge, Bones, the Will and Grace guys show can't remember the name. Seems like there is a whole slew of cop drama's with people who have psych problems these days.
This morning at the Ortho's the March 3-9 TV Guide magazine had an article about Those Who Kill. Mostly consisted of comments by Chloe about how she signed on for something edgy and new and now it was a fight with the studio, Fox 21, to keep it from becoming a standard shoot em up cop show. She was very forthright about that, about it being a problem, about it being a fight to keep pushing back because the studio was constantly questioning scenes and plot lines and trying to dumb everything done to make it more generic and reach a wider audience.
That if it went well, as in true to the vision she signed on for, she would like to see it picked up, but if not then maybe it would be a blessing if it got cancelled because she didn't want to be stuck in a contract with a standard cop show. Good on her. She really hasn't done much tv other than Big Love on HBO.
And did you guys know this was a remake of a Danish show? is there anything that is not? And her concerns are realistic seeing how The Killing was a remake of a Danish show and that was all over the map.
I loved The Killing, if it compares to that, I'm in. As far as the The Bridge, the original was so much better in my opinion. I know a lot of people said the original of The Killing was better and maybe it was but so impossible to find without risking your computer. For me, Holder and Linden were great together. Hope the new show compares!
If you haven't seen it yet, the pilot will be shown on Monday on A&E.
