Ok, for those of you who watched The Judge I have a question.
What was the point of the 'almost incest' side story? Was it just supposed to be there for shock value, or to emphasize the character was less than perfect, or what? At the end of the movie when it was revealed that it was a different relationship than implied (but still incestuous) was that somehow supposed to make it less of an ick factor? Opinion and speculation welcome!
Overall a good movie, but that added storyline has me flummoxed.
I thought I might check out The Asunta Case and am hooked. Just finished episode 4 last night.
Yes, The Ashunta Case was intriguing, if somewhat frustrating, but that's real life. But my goodness, how different the Spanish legal system is from what we're taking for granted in the US! I believe they have Napoleonic Law, guilty until proven innocent. But little things that seemed run-of-the mill within the show were really surprising: The suspects being taken along on the house search? Allowed to have a secret conversation (which is being taped) from their respective cells? No lawyers present? A biased judge filing the charges, not the DA?
Oh my. I'll finish it today. Quite a ride, and not my usual cup of tea. To be honest, I'm only watching it because my favorite narcissistic psychopath, H.G. Tudor, has an analysis of it on his YouTube channel and I want to see what he has to say, because his analyses are always worthwhile.
A Man in Full. We are really enjoying it and hope to finish it tonight/tomorrow night
