In Fear the Walking Dead, the female lead character's first name is Madison. It takes place in 2011, and she's about 38-40 years old. No one in 1971-73 was naming their daughter Madison. That first became a "thing" after the movie Splash in 1984, and then it became huge after the 90s, up to the present,
But it's so stupid for them to try to give a 40-year old character a name that's very trendy today.

Yeah, she should have been called Muriel or something...
If my elementary school class can be used as an example (I'm in that age range), then her name would most likely be Jennifer--there were five Jennifers in my class of (about) 25 kids. There were also three Johns...but not a single Austin, Tyler, or Aidan.
I know! I wasn't implying at all that 40 was "old" (I'm 47). But no one my age is named Madison. No one who is 40 is named Madison.
Muriel would be up there in my Grandmom's time period, like Bertha.
Imagine, in about 60 years, there will be TONS of little old ladies named Katelyn and McKenzie.
The Bond girls are obvious, like Xenia Onatopp for instance, but I don't see the double meaning in Tiffany Case.
"In the novel, the story of her name is that when she was born, her father Case was so embittered she was not a boy that he gave her mother a thousand dollars and a powder case from Tiffany’s and walked out. In the film it is stated that she was named after her accidental preterm birthplace, Tiffany & Co., where her parents were going through a choice of wedding bands, to which Bond dryly jokes that she was lucky that it had not happened at Van Cleef & Arpels."

Giving daughters their mother's maiden name as a first name is a very old tradition.

Yes, and Kaylie, Kaylee, Kylie, Kylee, and McKayla. Quite a print run for the Yiddish diminutive of the feminine of Michael.

And it's the opposite of how now there are a bunch of little kids running around with "grandparent" names like Henry and Flora. The circle of life
