I'm okay with Raza and Bonnie gone. They may have had other obligations they couldn't get out of. Luis Guzman has a teeny tiny role in a Showtime show called Roadies from what I read. He has several projects coming out dated 2016 and 2017, but I think they're all in post-production. I didn't like Heather....maybe she'll grow on me. As long as the rest of the cast is there, I'm good.
I'm guessing Wednesdays will be Survivor/Criminal Minds/Code Black. I watch all three, so my Wednesday is set.
Wasn't Heather the one that gave Angus the pills that lead to his addiction? I guess they had to keep her, every show needs a bad guy/female. I like Raza but I can live without him and Bonnie. As long as Leanne, Jesse & Angus return. I do wish Dr. Taylor (Kevin Dunn) would return.
Neal (Raza Jaffrey) and Christa (Bonnie Somerville) have been cut from the show. This is horrible news to me! They were my favorite characters, especially Neal. My likelihood of watching season 2 has now gone from 100% to 1%. Not only did they cut my two favorites, but two of my LEAST favorites have been promoted to series regulars: Dr. Campbell and Heather.
I won't say my interest is at 1%, but replacing Neal with the surgeon who thinks he is God makes the show a lot less compelling. And I hate his minion as well. I may watch in real time if nothing else is on, but it will not be one I watch later.

I've been watching the reruns to refresh my memories, and because I didn't come to this show until Episode #4. I agree that losing Neal is going to be hard. I didn't think so at first, but on rewatching, I do like him and Bonnie Sommerville's characters. I hope they don't screw it up with the replacements, but NCIS has done it well over the years, so maybe Code Black can pull it off...
This certainly brings a "big name" to the show. I'm sure CBS is hoping he will bring in additional viewers. I'm still quite angry at them getting rid of Raza and Bonnie but I may give it a few episodes next season just to see what they do with Rob Lowe's character. I really wasn't expecting them to cast a well known actor!
