That's true, I suppose. He went off the rails a bit towards the end, didn't he? I want to see him go a bit crazy in this next series!

If you have Netflix, there is a show called "the grand". It is Spanish show about a fancy hotel at the turn of the century. It is subtitled, but excellent! Kinda line a cross between downton abbey and Hercules poirot mystery.

PBS had a documentary about his life and effect on how retail was done. But his wandering eye got to him and his wife divorced him. He married one of the women in the show. He continued to have ideas but the one which guarenteed him a place in history outshadowed the rest.

The last season, with the survivors of the trenches, was often just heartwrenching and while the feel was different, it was an excellent portrait of the time and how society had changed.

From where I'm sitting it is very popular here where I am in America...and it is on the public broadcasting system which carries all of the other series mentioned in this thread. Twelve months of the year we always have something to look forward to...even if they are reruns sometimes between the start up of new series and episodes.

Thanks for asking!
