I was wondering, does anyone think Power Rangers should have a gay character?

I won't advocate for one, however, I wouldn't have an issue with one if it were to happen. Even though I have been advocating for a male Pink Ranger, I would prefer a male Pink Ranger not to be gay, and would prefer a gay character to be a Green or Black Ranger. The reason is because Green and Black normally don't receive much focus in most seasons of Power Rangers, and making the Green or Black Ranger gay would give those colors more attention. One of my fanmade Power Rangers teams is known as Power Rangers Music Force, and Andrew Bennington the Black Ranger representing heavy metal is gay.

The reason why I wouldn't want a male Pink Ranger to be gay is because it would be promoting gay stereotypes to children, since in truth gay men are less likely to wear pink than straight men. Another one of my fanmade teams is known as Power Rangers Fairy Magic, and the Pink Fairy Ranger and leader Christopher Scott would be in a relationship with Evelyn Rodriguez the Green Fairy Ranger, a beautiful Mexican girl. I even made the leader of my Power Rangers Fairy Magic team a pink fairy, but he would still be in a relationship with a female character and would get married at the end similar to Thumbelina and the Fairy Prince.

No. Leave sex out of kid's shows.

The fact that you started this thread when no one else in the world even thought about this kinda says something different.

I am not at familiar with the Power Rangers show.
Is this a "cartoon"?
Is it aimed at kids?
And the big question.....
Is there any suggestion in the show of a sexual orientation now? Do we see male and female characters in some sort of relationship beyond crime fighting pals?

How would one know if a power ranger character was gay or not UNLESS it was portrayed stereotypically??

A character doesn't have to wear pink in order to show that he is gay. Give him a boyfriend and throw in some non-offensive gay jokes. He can even say that he isn't into girls.
